Richard Scott

Richard Scott, 28, grew up in Alcolu, S.C., where he played football at Manning High School. Scott, a defensive tackle, was voted to the first team All-State and All-Region, and was also named most valuable player.

After high school, Scott continued his football career at Catawba College. The All-Region, All-Conference defensive tackle was also voted the 2002 season’s most valuable player.

While Scott does not have a mechanical background, he is looking forward to learning more about motorsports. He loves to compete and enjoys the training environment, and believes the Drive for Diversity Crew Member Development program presented by Sprint is a great starting point to advance in NASCAR.
