Jorge Quinones, Jr., 41, grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y. Quinones was always athletic as a child and went on to play basketball in high school. In addition to athletics, he has also always had an interest in mechanics. Quinones earned a degree from NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, N.C. prior to joining the Drive for Diversity Crew Member Development program presented by Sprint.
Quinones is one of the oldest members of the Drive for Diversity Crew Member Development program presented by Sprint, but does not let that slow him down. He trains as a tire changer at the D4D pit facility three days each week. Quinones’ ultimate goal is to work as a NASCAR crew chief.
