Jason Steele, 24, grew up in Kannapolis, N.C. and attended A.L. Brown High School, where he was a member of the football and track teams. Steele anchored the 4×2 Relay and was a strong safety and cornerback for the football team.
Steele is a graduate of North Carolina A&T University. He has mechanical experience with IHRA and NHRA teams, working on pre- and post-run tuning.
Now a tire changer with the Drive for Diversity Crew Member Development program presented by Sprint, Steele is continuing to build his mechanical skills in the shop as well as his over-the-wall skills.
Steele prides himself on being a team player who is able to adapt to a variety of settings. He is dedicated to conquering his goals, and is focused on becoming a top tire changer in the sport.
